I think this toy is fabulous! I got it second hand from my sister-in-law and had to buy another one when my son dropped it in the bathtub. I don't think that it is meant to be used as a distraction in the car since you're not supposed to drive around with the bar raised (think about what might happen in a rollover--AHH), but it worked great when he was in his seat, but not in the car. Also, now that he has grown out of his infant carrier he still carries it around with him-it is one of his favorite toys. He didn't have a hard time with the button, but he liked it enough to figure it out--it took awhile. We attached it to all sorts of things from his crib, to his jumperoo, to his rocking chair--anything that we could put at least one loop around so it didn't get away from him if he dropped it. Now I find myself replacing the old one and the price is well worth it to me because I know he loves it.Customer Review: Great toybar!

I received this as a baby shower gift and attached it to my son's carrier/carseat when he was about 1 month old and it has not come off since! He is not almost 6 months and still loves it. It does tend to get in the way a little when I am putting him in his seat or taking him out, but with I am okay with that because it keeps him so happy. When he was about 6 weeks old he decided that he hated his carseat. That's when I put this on it and ever since he has loved it. He used to love the music (because he was too little to do much with the toys). But now he will spend forever playing with the little fish and star sliding them back and forth. We still play the music occasionally when he gets fussy.
I love this and would reccomend it to everyone. In fact, three other new moms I know with babies under 6 months of age have gone and purchased this after seeing how much my son loves it!

I love most of the baby einstein toys for my infant twin boys but I have to say I was dissapointed with this purchase. I was so excited for it to arrive by mail and almost threw it out a few days later. First off it hangs really low so it makes it very difficult to put baby into and out of car seat with it connected to the handle. If you try to put the handle back the toy actually hits baby in the head. The toy may be better suited for older children but then why would they be in an infant car seat?? The music is quite nice and not annoying at all but there's a tiny little button that you have to press to start it. Neither one of my twins can locate it. Asides from that the toy doesn't really do anything else. If you are looking for something in the car there are much better options out there. We ended up having to buy different toys after this one as neither one of the twins like this.Customer Review: I could have done without this one

It really doesn't attach well to the car seat or stroller. I have a Graco Quattro Tour and the straps aren't long enough for either. My daughter does like the music but it doesn't play long enough and it is irritating to have to continue to activate (she isn't able to). I still get some use out of it though. She likes to pick it up, shake it and then toss it on the floor.
*Update*
I had to update this posting because this toy has become a big hit in the last few months. Around my daughter's first birthday she began to play with this. Now in the car she hits the button and plays the music over and over again. It is her favorite car toy. I'm actually glad I purchased it. Of course it still doesn't attach well to the car seat, but boy does it keep my daugher occupie. My opinion on this toy has totally changed.

I bought this toy for my son (5 months) becuase of his love for the baby einstein movies and other baby einstein toys. I love the general idea of the toy bar, however I am very dissapointed about several differnt things....
1. The toy bar tends to hit my son in the head, and has to be removed every time I put him in or take him out of his car seat.
2. The songs on the toy bar only play for around 30 seconds and it is cumbersome to have to reach back and continue to puch the play button.
3. Finally, it is nearly impossible to carry his car seat with the toy bar attached (there is no room to comfortably grab the handle).
I gave up using the Einstein Neptune Toy Bar and went back to the Bugs on Board (available at toysrus.com too)!
