Baby Products Reviews of BABYBJÖRN Little Potty - White

Customer Review: We ended up using it for trips in the car
Summary: 2 Stars

I liked the simple design. You want them to focus on the process of going "potty" during training, all the bells and whistles are not necessary & can be a distraction (as with other potty chairs).
While I did start my daughter out with this potty, she did not like it. The seat is quite hard. She refused to sit on it. I purchased a soft seated potty with a lid (PRIMO 4-In-1 Soft Seat Toilet Trainer and Step Stool White with Pastel Blue Seat), she liked that much better. She was potty trained a month before she turned 2 thanks to the second potty & the sticker reward system. We placed stickers inside the lid of the 2nd potty and it really gave her an incentive to "go".
While the Bjorn didn't work out for the initial potty training, now that she's older (2 1/2 and trained), when she needs to go, she's not picky about where she'll go. So we keep it in the car for those unexpected travel emergencies. If she needs to go and there's no restroom in sight, we can pull over and let her use this. Clean up is very easy.

Customer Review: WORKS GREAT
Summary: 5 Stars

We have two of these for when our granddaughter comes to visit - one on the first floor and one on the second. She's been trained to use it since almost as soon as she could sit up on her own! She is just turning 4 and can do it all herself now and she doesn't have a problem still using them. She was trained by putting her on the pot first thing in the a.m, last thing at night, and several times during the day till she got used to the idea of what was wanted. Every time she made a deposit, we applauded her! Kids don't really like going in their diapers it seems, and the sooner they realize they don't have to, the sooner they'll use the potty. Saves a lot on diapers.
They're very easy to use, and inexpensive.
After use, I dump contents in toilet, swish out with a little water and dump again, then use a disenfecting wipe to finish it off. I also then put 1/4 inch of water in the pot just to keep further usage from sticking to the bottom.

Customer Review: Perfect size for babies, ergonomic, easy to clean
Summary: 5 Stars

This potty is the smallest one I've seen, so it's great if you are pottying a baby. My son sat on it assisted from 3 months, and unassisted from 5.5 months, by which time he could plant his feet on the floor. It has an ergonomic design, so even when he sat on it for 10 minutes for his poops, I knew he was comfortable (the Ikea ones leave a red ring around his bottom). He's 21 months now and mostly uses the bigger BB potty chair, but still uses this little one sometimes, and also uses the Ikea ones. The Ikea ones are taller, less ergonomic, but generally the same idea. The BB little potty is definitely designed for babies, and maybe short toddlers. Since it's one piece, you just rinse it out. No crevices to get yucky germs stuck in. Oh, and I like that this potty and the bigger potty chair are flat at the bottom of the bowl because the Ikea ones are round and the pee slashes out easily--not with the baby bjorn ones, though.

Customer Review: No Fuss, Great Potty
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought this for our 18 month old in order to gradually introduce her to using the potty. She is on the smaller side in weight (22 lbs) and is of average height, and this potty is perfectly sized. She appears quite comfortable on it, whether she is in a squatting position or with her legs semi-crossed in front of her, and it is easy for her to get off of when she's done. She also loves the little bear on the front.

I like this potty because it is no fuss to keep clean. There are no nooks or crannies where things can gather and get gross. My other favorite feature of this potty is that it has no features! No bells, buttons, or other novelties that I feel would only distract a child from learning to go potty.

The only drawback to this potty is that it does not have a non-skid bottom. However, we haven't found this to be much of an issue.

Customer Review: Excellent for "early" starters; sure impressed Grandma!
Summary: 5 Stars

Got this about 6 weeks ago when my daughter was 6 mos old. She's average size and fits fine with her feet on the floor, and can reach around for toys without falling off, but can climb off when she's done (or bored, so obviously supervision required). She goes in it regularly - she seems to have figured out what it's for (having me hanging around saying "pee-pee or poop on the potty" like a raving lunatic and making the ASL potty sign may have helped.) I put her on it before/after naps and any other time that I see her straining or when it seems to just make sense.
Easy to clean up - best method we've found is to run some water into it right after baby uses it, and then dump whole mess into the toilet; add water and dump in toilet until it's clean enough to meet your standards; then spray with Lysol.
