a. was very reliably pottying on her big bjorn potty BabyBjörn Potty Chair - White before her second birthday this summer ( thank you 'once upon a potty' Once Upon a Potty -- Girl ) but with autumn just around the corner, we needed something small we could take to the park and music class. it needed to fit in a bag, and under the maclaren and the baby jogger.
a. is 30-ish pounds and nearly 27 months old. this is not an everyday seat .. it's the comfortable equivalent of peeing on the grass : necessary & convenient. i prefer her not sitting on a public toilet. the little bjorn is clean, familiar and safe.
the bjorn little potty is perfect in every way. the only caveat : be sure to have some spare water in your bottle Stainless Steel Water Bottle with hiking clip (16 Oz) - Pink c/t New Wave Enviro so that you can rinse if you're not near a sink.

i like that this potty is tiny. my daughter's in the 50% for height, and 10% for weight as an 18-month old. it fits her perfectly and will for a while to come. she ends up in a "squat" position that is perfect and healthy for having bowel movements.
the only thing i don't like about this potty is that it slips around like crazy on the wood floors in our bathroom, making it difficult for her to get really good at positioning herself before sitting down. so now we always put it down on the bath mat and that fixes that problem.
there is a potty sold at IKEA for like $4 and it is the same design only slightly larger and it has a no-skid bottom. wish i had bought that one instead, except i don't like supporting IKEA.
don't think this tiny potty would work for a boy--pee might splash everywhere as it is not deep. i don't know, never tried it with a boy.

This potty is great. As the previous reviewer mentioned, it's one piece so nowhere for the pee to go except inside. I think the only fault is that it's incredibly low to the ground, so although that is great for new learners, once they master the potty training and you just need an extra around the house, it doesn't encourage them to go because it's too short. If you can spend a bit more, the newer model with the inside that comes out ($24.95) is much better in my opinion. HIgher for sure, and actually easier to dump since it has an insert. Make sure never to use bleach in these, though, I ruined the bottom of one of these by letting it sit in a 50% bleach solution, it ate away the smooth bottom.Customer Review: Just the right size for practicing EC!

We bought this potty because we are practicing elimination communication with our baby boy. He's 5 months now and this potty is just the right size for him to sit on and have his feet touch the ground. It's completely portable, easy to clean, and the price is right! I think I've already paid for it in diapers we didn't have to buy or wash. I don't know if they made this specifically for the EC'ers, but it sure does work well. The only downside is that the plastic is a little cold on his bum first thing in the morning in the cold months. But I guess the same goes for our toilets too!Customer Review: Great for travel!

We purchased this potty because our potty trained 2 year-old is petrified of regular toilets. This one is great because it fits in a small backpack and can be taken along with us everywhere we go with no hassle. She would scream in fear of a toilet, but become extremely upset if she had to use her Pull Up, so this is the perfect solution. It is very low to the ground, as some others mentioned, but my daughter doesn't mind a bit. In fact, she's refused to use her regular potty seat and only wants this one since it arrived.
