I had the original Baby Bjorn carrier with my first born, who's now 6-years-old. It was one of those baby products that I couldn't live without! She wouldn't let me put her down, so this product was the one thing that allowed me to both hold her and get some things done. For me, it was only a matter of time before using one with my newborn. I LOVE the synergy because of the breathable mesh and back support. It's so much better than the original model, and definitely worth the extra money. Since my newborn often wants to be held, and will sleep in this, I look at the money as an investment in our sanity. I couldn't live without this product!Customer Review: my back!

I wish I knew that this thing was known for causing back pain. It is pretty useful and sturdy but for the price I think it should be designed to minimize back pain. Sit breaks (needed to relieve the back pain) are awkward because of where the baby hangs (I'm 5'3"). My baby is only a month old & 11lbs. I still use it but when I think of taking longer trips my back keeps me from taking them and I go home. Also, it was a bit complicated getting the baby in and out initially. I have a system now, and he is used to it. And I will say walking him in this thing is a surefire way to get him to nap.Customer Review: love it!

My baby is 3 months old, weights about 15 lbs and loves to be in the carrier! I've carried her for 2-3 hours at the time without any type of back pain and/or discomfort. Getting the baby in and out is easy, as well as adjusting the straps for proper fitting. Since I've only used the carrier during the fall/winter months, I can't really comment on the "cooling system."
The only negative I've found is that the carrier does not have a way to secure the BABYBJORN cover (which is purchase separately).
I would definitely buy this product again! It is totally worth every penny!

My husband and I love this baby carrier, but even more important- my 3 month old daughter enjoys it. We purchased it because we enjoy hiking & wanted to bring her along with us. The Synergy is great because its breathable so we can use it during the summer. Its really easy to adjust between users, I read that some people have trouble with that, but we haven't had any problems & we both use it regularly. We also purchased the bib which is a life saver because of all the drooling she does. I would definately recommend this carrier, it is expensive but for us its been a great investment.Customer Review: Much better than Moby

We tried the Moby wrap first and could not figure it out where we felt our newborn was safe in it. This is much easier to use. Our baby loves it. It took a few times for her to feel comfortable but now she goes to sleep as soon as she is in. She has reflux, so this has been fantastic to keep her upright.
I gave 4 stars because the piece that adjusts for their head is in her face which I don't like. Once she can be turned forward facing, this won't be an issue but right now I wish the excess fabric went to the outside rather than the inside.
