I purchased this carrier for our trip and since my son loves to be near me, it really came in handy. I previously had a another carrier and it was uncomfortable for me and caused a lot of back pain. We decided to purchase the synergy Bjorn and it did everything we expected and more. I used it for hours without back pain and my son loves it because of the fact that he was near me and still could see everything facing forward and he also loved it when he was tired and sleeping while he was facing me. He didn't complain until it was time for him to breast feed. It also helped to keep my hands free and could shop. We love this carrier and have no regrets paying that big amount for it. All in all we love this carrier .......the material, the support that it gave me and for my son. I would recommend this carrier to friends and anyone.Customer Review: an ESSENTIAL item for a mom of 2

I absolutely need this item in my life. I bought the synergy last year and my car got broken in to last month; I repurchased this item IMMEDIATELY!! I felt nervous without it. I have a baby and a two year old boy that is wild and likes to throw temper tantrums all the time. I am not able to carry a baby and my two year old at the same time and the baby bjorn gives me the ability to do so.
I considered buying the active version but it gets so hot and I didn't want the sweaty child/mom combo. The lumbar support is essential for long wears. I am a preschool teacher and have to carry a baby around most of the time and this gives me comfort and freedom. The material is so comfortable and light.
I counted the days until my synergy bjorn arrived and to my pleasant surprise, it came way earlier than I thought!!!

My husband and I started out with the regular Bjorn, which hurt our backs after about 30 minutes. Then we tried the Bjorn Active, which made a huge improvement in terms of comfort, but we were unable to wear it in warm California weather because it was so big and bulky. Finally Bjorn figured it out - combine the Air and the Active -and you have the Synergy. I just wish it wasn't so ridiculously expensive ($150 for a mesh carrier mass produced in Latvia, c'mon!), I wish it came in other colors (navy, red, olive, like the Actives), and I wish Bjorn would finally develop waist support so the baby's weight wasn't carried so much on the parent's shoulders and back. But until then, this is a great carrier for newborns to 6 months old, especially if your young baby (like mine) resists slings and froggy-style carries in mei tais.Customer Review: a life saver

I wanted a baby carrier that would hold little one facing out but with my having a bad back I needed more support - this is a life saver. You do get tired after a while of holding him in it but you shouldn't really be holding them in there for that long I think. It's saved my life on days out with him in the stroller and he did not want to stay in till we got home - so put on the bjorn and got him home - fast asleep in the thing! Great!
Highly recommend this. I also got the ergo carrier but it's nowhere near as good in my opinion and little one can only face in - not much good for a nosey little baby boy who wants to see everything!!
It's worth spending more on this if you have a bad back. Also recommend getting the napkins as little one chews the front and can get pretty grubby very quick!

I'm not one to write reviews but for the Synergy carrier it was a must. This carrier has been nothing but fantastic, and a huge life saver. I purchased it after my second daughter was born because I needed my hands free since she wanted to be held constantly. I read other reviews about carriers and how they can make your child hot. So I got this one not only for the extra back support but also because it was designed to keep your child cool which it does. My 6 month old weighs a whopping 19 lbs but it is nor a big deal thanks to the extra back support. I never go any where with out this carrier, and my daughter loves being in it. If I'm having issues getting her to sleep I put her in the carrier and with out fail she falls asleep. Seriously the best purchase I have ever made, absolutly worth every penny
