This is a very nice carrier, but the cost is not equivilant to the amount it will be used. I only recommend it if you have money to burn. :o) My boys are 6 months old and 16 lbs (which is small for their age), and they are already too heavy to comfortably carry in the Bjorn, even though the weight limit is 25 lbs. After about 12 lbs, the straps start to dig into the shoulders and pull you forward.
For the short time you can wear this, I would recommend something cheaper, like a Snugli or a sling. I can easily carry my son in a fabric sling with no pull on my back.

my baby bjorn is now holding our second child, and is one of the best investments we have made for our children so far:)
Really I dont know how I could have survived without it, both for everyday use and for travel the baby bjorn is the best! Ours have been washed a million times at least and is still looking great,both our daughters have been enjoying to be in the baby bjorn.
Neither my husband nor I have had any trouble putting the baby bjorn on, often while holding the baby in one arm and attaching the baby bjorn with the other.

Me and my son really like the baby bjorn once we get situated in it! I am 5'7" and I have trouble getting into it without help. Once we buckle, snap and tighten the straps, the baby falls asleep and I can do other things hands free, but its the initial getting situated that is the bothersome bit. I also dislike that I have to remove him and to nurse him which is also a pain, cause then I need someone to help me get him situated again...I will still use the carrier occasionally but I am off to try the Premaxx Adventure Sling...Customer Review: Love it so far...

I had originally purchased the Ultimate Baby Wrap and was a little taken back on how to put it together. I was not happy with the head support it provided for my newborn, and found it very overwhelming to put on and off. I then purchased this system and love it. My baby feels secure and has good head support. I found it very easy to put on and off and I am very satisfied with it. My son appears comfortable with it also, he falls asleep everytime he is in it. It is worth spending the extra money!!!Customer Review: Lifesaver!

This product is an absolute lifesaver. It makes outtings simple and easy especially when you are making quick stops and don't want to carry the infant seat or pull out the stroller. My son was extremely small when he was born, even with his small size, he fit snuggly and securely into the Baby Bjorn. Even though it is quite expensive, it is defintely worth the the $$. It fits comfortably for both Mother and Child. I recommend this for all Mothers!
