Customer Review: Only good to 10 pounds without back pain...

I have a Bjorn, a Sleepy Wrap, and an Ergo. I like the Ergo the best HANDS DOWN. It has hip straps so that all the weight isn't on your back. The Bjorn kills my back and I'm a healthy 25 year old with no previous back problems. My baby is only 13 pounds and he's way too heavy for it. They say it goes up to 25 pounds but there's no way...
The Ergo can be used up to 40 pounds and switched from front to back when he/she's too heavy for the front. It can also be used on your hip. The cover flap is nice to cover their face from the elements.
The Sleepy wrap is such a pain to wrap when you're traveling. It's like 4 yards of fabric and if you're getting out of the car it's hard to put it on without getting it on the ground. Plus it doesn't have the hip support like the Ergo... again it puts the weight right on your back like the Bjorn.

Great baby carrier! We don't use ours as often as we should, but it's really convenient to wear for shopping, going on walks, or carefully doing light housework. When our son was 2 weeks-2 months old he usually slept while facing inward in the BabyBjorn. Between 2-3.5 months he didn't really like the Bjorn since he was too old to fall asleep and didn't like facing inward. At 3.5 months we started facing him outward again and he's loved it ever since! He enjoys being in motion and looking around at everything. The BabyBjorn is relatively easy to put on and place a baby into, although a baby carrier sling seems like it's probably quicker and easier. Use caution when carrying your baby around the house in this: I've bumped our baby's head and arms (lightly, thankfully) on the fridge door, washing machine, etc. Works great for vacuuming, though!Customer Review: Great Convenience...

I am so lazy that I wont generally write those review, but this one I could not resist myself.
I bought this product in April 2010 after month long research on various brands and types of infant carriers. It was worth a buy. I've used it for two consecutive days for 14 hours each day. Baby and dad were comfortable. When I placed baby first he was little fuzzy but then in few minutes he adapted to it. Baby was 2 months old, when I used it first. It was easy to carry and is load balanced. I feel baby is lighter on this carrier compare to when you just lift him up. One can avoid a bulky stroller with the convenience of BabyBjorn. Quality of the fabric used to make it was good. We were on vacation trip with the baby and he was happy being close dad/mom feeling the warmth.
I would recomend this product to anyone.

We really enjoy the baby Bjorn carrier and have had this classic style since 2008. We recently brought it back out for our four month old and often use it in lieu of a double-stroller when we're on the go. I have used it to take both of my children to the grocery store. I find that less people try and touch your child when you're holding them close in a baby carrier! plus it allows me to place my toddler in the seat and go shopping without waiting on someone else to come home.
Our only complaint with this carrier is that as the child grows the pressure on your neck and shoulders can really take a toll, which is why we will probably put this away by the time she's 20 pounds. It is really just too uncomfortable to carry them for long periods of time once they pass that weight mark. I would still consider it a good buy though.

I was a little hesitant about dropping $80 on this thing especially after seeing similar baby carriers for half the price but after five months of using it everyday I am convinced that it was the best $80 I have spent on anything for our newborn. The excellent design allows your child due rest very comfortably on your chest during his first couple of months when he still can't sustain well his head. We were able to take him out on the town for a number of hours and he would fall right asleep and be confortable for very extended periods. Now that he is able to hold up his head without any problem we have been able to turn him around and carry him in such a way that he gets an excellent view of everything around him which in turn has stimulated tremendously his curiousity. I strongly recommend this product for anyone considering it.
