Baby Products Reviews of BABYBJÖRN Baby Carrier Air - Gray/White, MeshCustomer Review: A must have for hot, humid Indiana summers Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased the BB Air from another retailer after I realized that our Original BB was way too warm for summertime use. Consequently we now have two BB's, the Original and the Air. This product keeps both the baby and the wearer cool and comfortable. My husband and I have not experienced any back pain while carrying the baby in the BB Air. We use it nearly every day and wear it for extended periods of time. It also fits a variety of heights comfortably, I'm 5'6 and my husband is 6'2. I've had numerous people in malls and busy stores comment on how quiet and content the baby seems in the Air carrier. I appreciate that I can run errands or do housework while keeping the baby close and happy. When Autumn returns, I'll be switching to the Original BB and anticipate enjoying it as much as the BB Air.
Customer Review: It's the Best!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Reasons why I love this product:
1). Easy Operation: easy to get the baby in and out
2). Stability and Safety: baby is very secure in it and cannot get out of it.
3). Comfort: Our baby is very comfortable in it and goes to sleep very easily in it, especially with the soft breathing fabric.
4). Carrier Comfort: I use this product every day, I mean EVERYDAY!!! Sometimes, I have my baby in here for couple of hours during shopping and it does not hurt my back at all and I am an average built guy who does not exercise at all...
One thing I wish: I wish that the weight capacity was a bit more (25 lbs). My baby is 18 month and is about 25 lbs. I don't know what I'm going to do after he graduates from this product!
Customer Review: We use it Summary: 4 Stars
This works well for different torso lengths, and grows with the child. It claims to be cooler than the regular version, but it's still pretty warm - I don't recommend for long periods in hot weather. Also, don't think you'll go for long hikes with this- baby's inner thighs and butt will get sore after a while with any of these type carriers. We did do shorter hikes using this from 6-9mo old. We used it for our first until she was about a year, then gave it to a friend for hers, now were using for our second-- pretty durable. Adjustment directions are on the inside of the product so you'll never lose them. It's very quick and easy to adjust. Baby LOVED going shopping in it from about 3-6 months, once she could face forward. I'm happy we bought it.
Customer Review: Great Carrier Summary: 5 Stars
Basically this thing is great. I know people have their reservations over this style of carrier, but as a stay at home dad, I love it. My daughter has wanted to face out since she was two months old and you just cant do that with a lot of other carriers. I also love the light weight and breathability of the material. I get over heated easy and any one who has put a baby in one of these knows that they are a little heat machine. I will say that you need a good strong lower back for this carrier as there is only a simple criss-cross over the middle of your back and my wife says it really wears her out.
Overall, I have used many other carriers, including slings and this one is definately my favorite.
Customer Review: Perfect for HOT, HOT weather! Summary: 5 Stars
I have been looking for Baby Bjorn products for use in Southeast Asia (mainly Singapore and Indonesia), but they were unsuitable, until I found this one!
The breathability is exceptional, I would recommend its use during hot weather and in countries where it is mostly hot. Not suitable for cold weather places though, I have to hang to blanket over the carrier to avoid baby getting the cold draft.
Almost all front carriers do not allow itself to open completely, thus the difficulty in putting baby in (some babies will kick you in the face before you manage to get them into the carrier). This carrier is extremely well-designed, and suitable even for small (1.5m/ 5ft) stature woman like myself.
