This has saved me so many times. Have you ever been home alone and your little one will not let you put them down so you can do some essentials around the house???? This has been a lifesaver for those situations. I have been able to water my plants, fold laundry (takes a bit more time when he grabs the clothes I'm folding), make dinner, clean bottles, etc. The key is to start them early so they get use to being in the carrier. My son has never had an issue with being in it, he really loves it b/c I think he feels like he can see more and be apart of what is going on. I'm not sure if the back support really supports your back, it doesn't seem any different than others I have tried.Customer Review: Great product!!

My son is 8 months old and we were just in Florida where I used it at Seaquarium for the entire day and during our trip to and from Florida. He even slept in it for most of the time. It's a very comfortable carrier for me and I'm sure for him since he enjoyed being in it. I would definitely recommend purchasing this product to any mommy that does a lot of traveling, has a baby that likes to be held or just have free hands for other stuff, like taking care of another child. I found that this really did help my back.
We're going away again to Pa for the weekend and I'm looking forward to using it at Dorney Park and Hershey Park and for afternoon walks while we're there.

We love the Baby Bjorn! When our daughter was newborn, she wasn't sure she liked it, but then as soon as we started walking, it just lulled her to sleep, which made grocery shopping a breeze. I definitely recommend the active version of this because of the extra back support. Our daughter is now 8 months old and about 20 lbs, and we still use this, but our shoulders are starting to tire out quickly from her weight so we are looking into getting the Ergo baby carrier since it has good hip-support. Our daughter loves the Baby Bjorn since she can see everything from a higher point of view than she can with her stroller, so I would recommend this for younger/lighter babies.Customer Review: lumbar support rocks!

a baby carrier is an essential item to have and this one is terrific! it's worth it to spend the extra money and get this model with the back support. i could carry my son for hours and it never hurt. also, this model fits both me and my husband; i'm 5'6" and he's 6'3". the straps on this one are long enough for both of us but the ones on the regular baby bjorn are NOT; i called the company and they confirmed this. you'd have to buy seperate straps to fit a taller person. my son loves being carried in the baby bjorn (he's 1 now) and when he was an infant it was the only thing that would get him to sleep sometimes! i definitely recommend this product!

I loved this. It costs too much (@ $120) but it was worth it for me. I tried several slings and other carriers, but none of them gave my lower back the support that it needed. (However, I do have to confess that I didn't really get "help" with the slings so I may have not been wearing them correctly).
It's quite expensive, but since I have 2 small children I used it A LOT. My baby loved it and it was really comfortable. My husband even liked using it. I was really sad when she ate so much breastmilk that she got too fat to fit into it anymore! It made my life a lot easier. I've lent it to several friends and they love it, too...and it washes up well.
