my mother in law bought this for me when my son was 6 weeks old. It is wonderful!! He is a very gassy baby and I have found that if he spends time in the chair each day he gets the gas out and is such a happier baby! We have tried many different bouncy seats and swings and nothing has seemed to work as well as this chair. The positioning is easy even with the baby in it. Does startle him just a little when lowered if he is sleeping but he goes right back to sleep. Easy to travel with also. Our family lives an hour away and we go back and forth on a regular basis. Folds flat and we use the box it came in to carry it! It is easy to bounce with your foot also. And once they are a little bigger they can bounce it on their own. My son is now 10 weeks and is just now able to bounce it when he is kicking. It also keeps them positioned really nice and not all scrunched up like some other bouncers. Worth every penny!! I ordered this when my daughter was very young, only a couple of weeks old. She couldn't stand being in it at first. She really grew into it, though! Now, it is an integral part of our life! We take it everywhere with us - traveling, grandparents' house, to the beach, etc. I love that it collapses so that it can be carried on a plane. Also, I would never get a workout in while she is awake without this thing - I can put her in there and she watches me while I'm jumping around to an exercise DVD, which entertains her long enough for me to complete it, usually. As another reviewer mentioned, I've even taken the whole thing into the shower so I can watch her while showering. She naps occasionally in it, too - and she never naps in the crib, only if I hold her, so if she's asleep in the Baby Bjorn and I can move about freely, it's like Christmas!! Collapses to about 3 inches depth wise- this could go under a couch or bed very easily.
The length of this product is larger at about three feet give or take a few inches.
Very Light weight (weighs less than 2 pounds)
Easy to take down and set aside in any room
Very quick set up (less than 30 seconds to do)
Fabric is high quality cotton. It washes easily and stands up to a child's use daily.
NOT made in China!
Incredible item for newborns- Wish I didn't waste my money on other bouncers.
NEVER have to purchase batteries.
Does NOT play music and cause a parent to go bonkers.
Does NOT make any noise at all (no squeaks here)
Does NOT contain BPA.
Your Child's head will NOT flop around even a newborn loves this.
Works well for a child that is a newborn. (My child has been using his non-stop everyday for 4 months now, purchased when we was one month old. I wish I had it when he first came home from the hospital.)
Easy to travel with as it collapse and is so light weight. (May go on a airplane as well- haven't tried it yet but probably could no problem)
I also own the Carrier in Black and red and the fabric matches perfectly with the carrier. I love my baby bjorn products. We also use the dishes in the baby bjorn brand. They are BPA, PVC and recyclable. This is a great company to deal with. We turned our Babysitter in for the "Voluntary" recall. We new it probably didn't have any metal in it but got it checked out anyways. It did not. They sent us a box to ship it in they shipped it back to us in a timely manner. They even gave us spoons for our inconvenience a green sticker was on the babysitter. All and all not a lot of companies care about child safety, this one does! I would buy product again and wish I didn't waste my money on a fisher price bouncer that requires batteries and is unsafe.
(FISHER PRICE Bouncer-child's head moves way too much even with extra support from a Boppy noggin head rest wheel. Also Fisher price bouncer quality is low on fabric and there toys they can not confirm or deny are BPA free. FYI I do not buy any fisher price toys because they do NOT say yes or no to BPA free. They give consumers the run around about how they "meet federal guidelines...")

I ordered this product for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. The product is extremely easy to use and comfortable - much better than Kate Spade MacLaren, because the harness was hard to put on and I didn't feel comfortable leaving the baby in it b/c I felt she would easily tip over. Although this specific model was recalled, I called Baby Bjorn customer service and confirmed that all of the products sold by Amazon were rechecked by the manufacturer and did pass the safety inspection. There is a green sticker on the back of the unit for every item that was checked.Customer Review: Love this seat

Recall or not we love this seat. (We received a box with a green sticker on it which means it was scanned and metal part free.) The seating angle is perfect for my refluxing son. The tush part of the seat is deep enough that they feel snuggled in there. The swaying motion from their kicking is just right to soothe them when they're sitting there and will even soothe my son to sleep. It is attractive looking, very lightweight and portable, and easy to use. I just slide him in and out when I need to, don't even need to fuss with the buttons. I love that it folds flat, too, with minimal fuss.
We also got the cozy cover (elsewhere at a discount I might add) and it was definitely worth it. The cover is waterproof in the seat area and also helps keep a younger infant more comfortable in the seat. I think they should include the cover and the toy at this price point, but that aside this was a great purchase. It has been worth every penny.
