my mother in law bought this for me when my son was 6 weeks old. It is wonderful!! He is a very gassy baby and I have found that if he spends time in the chair each day he gets the gas out and is such a happier baby! We have tried many different bouncy seats and swings and nothing has seemed to work as well as this chair. The positioning is easy even with the baby in it. Does startle him just a little when lowered if he is sleeping but he goes right back to sleep. Easy to travel with also. Our family lives an hour away and we go back and forth on a regular basis. Folds flat and we use the box it came in to carry it! It is easy to bounce with your foot also. And once they are a little bigger they can bounce it on their own. My son is now 10 weeks and is just now able to bounce it when he is kicking. It also keeps them positioned really nice and not all scrunched up like some other bouncers. Worth every penny!!
