I'm a first time mom, who knew nothing about breastfeeding or breastpumps, I bought the pump because all of my other baby feeding supplies are by Avent.
The long and short of it is: the pump is very convenient, very simple to use (even for new mums), neat and compact. The downside is that when you get your "flow" going the pump's valve pops out and you have to stop pumping, dis-assemble, sterilize and re-assemble.
This is no fun when you have two engorged boobies and a screaming baby!! At one point I had considered Krazy gluing the valve in place!!
Once you know that it will be a start and stop process, this pump is perfect!!
