Baby Products Reviews of Avent Contemporary Freeflow Pacifiers - 0-6 Months - Pack of 2Customer Review: Attractive with Convenient Cap Summary: 5 Stars
My son, who is exclusively breastfed, has been using these pacifiers since he was 1 month old (he's 3 months now) and he took right to them. But whether or not your baby will like these pacifiers is a completely individual thing, so I'm going to focus on why I like them.
The cap that comes on each pacifier is brilliant and so convenient that it amazes me pacifiers without caps even exist anymore. I can pop the cap on and throw the pacifier in my purse or pocket without worrying about it getting dirty, and then whip it out again to use when necessary.
These pacifiers are very attractive with the clear plastic and subtle design on a nice color for the main part. I always hated the way babies look with a pacifier in their mouth -- with a big ugly hunk of plastic in the middle of their face -- but these don't bother me at all. They're almost nice enough to pass as a chic (and very functional) baby accessory.
Customer Review: Noisy pacifier Summary: 2 Stars
My 3 month old was having some problems about a month ago taking his early morning naps so following my pediatrician's advice, I got some pacifiers to help him fall asleep on his own. I thought these would be just as good as any other (I especially liked that they had a cover to go with them), but they ended up being incredibly noisy. The tap-tap-tap of the handle that is attached to the pacifier against the pacifier itself would wake up the baby. He would start falling asleep, slow down his sucking on the pacifier, then one of the taps would wake him up, he'd spit out the pacifier and start crying. It was more trouble than it was worth, so I stopped using it. The baby has now found his thumb so he sucks on that to lull himself to sleep instead of the pacifier.
Customer Review: Great Pacifiers! Summary: 4 Stars
My daughter loves these (and only these) pacifiers... I think it's because the nipple is smaller than the Nuk pacifiers and the shape is closer to the breast in these as well... I would have given five stars, but only one pack of two pacifiers was sent. After I called, the company DID refund my money for the missing pack...
Customer Review: My son doesn't like them. Summary: 3 Stars
These are adorable but unfortunately my son doesn't like them then again he is only 2 weeks old so maybe he will grow to like them. I'll keep you posted...
The pacifiers are long and my son tends to gag when I put it in his mouth so I don't recommend using them for newborns.
Customer Review: My baby loves them! Summary: 4 Stars
My baby loves them! She sucks on everything and this helps! They are worth the money. For my 2 month old baby though, they are a bit large but she can still use them.
