My son has severe eczema on his face, just about the worst place for a baby to have eczema. My pediatrician was no help and said there was nothing I could do for my son because the skin on the face is so delicate. After trying every remedy under the sun and seeing no lasting results, I took my baby to a dermatologist...along with the bottles and tubes of ointments and creams I'd been trying. He told me not to use any of them because they all had extracts that could cause an allergic reaction in my son's skin. He recommended Baby Aveeno Soothing Relief Moisture Cream. I had already tried everything else, so I figured what was one more bottle of lotion?
After using this cream and the wash that accompanies it, I am totally hooked. The cream is thick but absorbs into my son's skin quickly. It's not greasy, there is no fragrance, and my son's skin stays moisturized most of the day. It is completely safe to use on his entire body, which is very reassuring. Whenever the skin on his face starts to get red and itchy, I rub on some lotion and within minutes the redness starts to go away. Also, I rub him down with lotion within minutes of him getting out of the bath, and that makes a big difference.
It's been a long process, but we are finally able to keep his eczema under control and this is the only thing that worked. I went to my local drug store and bought their entire stock of this product so that I'll never be without!
