Baby Products Reviews of Arm's Reach Mini Co-Sleeper Bassinet - Natural

Customer Review: great purchase
Summary: 5 Stars

Have used it for the first 3 weeks so far and it's really lovely both in terms of functionality and appearance. It folds and unfolds easily (we've already transported it from house to house); the four pockets on the sides are useful for burp cloths and hats etc; we bought the Snuggle Nest with incline and it fits nicely within the bassinet; the simple appearance (we bought the natural color one) lets it fit in anywhere. Also, the price on Amazon was $40 cheaper than the one I found in a shop near my home! We have used it as a free-standing crib without hooking it up to the bed but we roll it over and place it beside me at night and it is just as functional.

Customer Review: Using now on my third child
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this co-sleeper when my first son was born five years ago, used it for him and then my second and now my third. Love everything about it, only wish there was a way to take off the exterior for a good wash, but I have used my steam cleaner to clean the exterior occasionally. It is still in perfect shape and has held up well. I imagine I will pass it on to a preggers friend when I am done. Love the storage underneath for blankets extra sheets and stuff. The little pockets are great for pacifiers, nasal aspirators, anything you might need in the night. I did upgrade to an organic mattress and sheets and would do that again also.

Customer Review: NOT great for women who've had a C-section
Summary: 3 Stars

I don't know why they make it a selling point that it's somehow beneficial to post-op mommies. For me, it was much harder to sit up, twist at the waist and lift my daughter up out of this than it was to just get out of bed. And that's the other thing- if this is attached to your bed, you have to scoot down past it just to get out of bed- not at all easy or enjoyable if you've had a c-section. Aside from that, I will say that as a free standing bassinet, it's sturdy, cute, and great for people with a small bedroom. Folds up compactly for travel although it is a tad heavy.

Customer Review: co-sleeper
Summary: 4 Stars

The mini co-sleeper is sensible if you have limited space and the price is right. I recommend adding another water proof pad atop the one that comes with the crib for extra softness and just in case there is an accident in the middle of the night - remove the top sheet and pad and deal with it in the morning. As a side note, it is a little tricky to find the right size sheets for it, so you may want to order more than one of the co-sleeper sheets at the time of purchase. Finally, my co-sleeper arrived with a broken wheel which is a pain to have replaced.

Customer Review: BEWARE OF SUFFOCATION!
Summary: 1 Stars

Just went to the ER today after I found my 4 month old with his face wedged in the corner.
When I picked him up he was blue.
(He is fine now but I am getting rid of the co-sleeper!)
This co-sleeper is not safe once they can wiggle around at all. My 4 month old cannot roll over yet.
In the past couple of days he began kicking his legs enough to move himself around.
I believe his ability to move himself around coupled with the co-sleeper's corner that is NOT mesh contributed
to this horrible event. He could have died!
