I bought the mini co-sleeper because I didn't have room for the standard size in the bedroom. I'm so glad I bought this instead of a bassinet. I love being able to lay in my bed and caress my son as he sleeps. He sleeps great in it. If you are looking for something that will let you sleep in bed instead of getting up to nurse, this is not the product for you. Also, I didn't find it too dificult to break down or change to the four-sided structure, it just took some patience. I leave it up all of the time and only take it down on trips away from home. You do have to scoot down the bed a little bit to get out, and double-check the straps to the bed to make sure it's tight, but I find that these inconveniences are much outweighed by the ability to check on him while laying in bed instead of having to get out of bed every time he fusses or makes a noise.Customer Review: EXCELLENT FOR TRAVEL!!

I have traveled a lot with my now 4-month old baby, and have taken the mini with me everywhere. It fits very comfortably into a standard large (26") suitcase because the feet and wheels come right off and the whole thing collapses nicely. Collapsing and assembling is a cinch and can be done in less than 1 minute AS LONG AS you do it right (unlock all BOTTOM bars first when collapsing, and lock all TOP bars first when assembling). It has been a life saver and has allowed me to travel plenty (even alone). Its been the single greatest buy so far, I highly recommend it.
One tiny area for improvement...the mini does not have any covers (they only sell them for the large co-sleeper). So one has to be very careful to not dirty the fabric, as spot cleaning is the only option.
Even so, I give this product 2 thumbs up!!

This is better than a Bassinett for the following reasons - when you bring your newborn home... you want to keep an eye on the baby, every breath and noise your baby makes you want to be able to quickly look over to see whats going on. This co-sleeper makes that possible. I baught a bassinett first and the next day i made my husband get the co-sleeper. I was constantly sitting up (straining my fragile post-birth abs) throughout the night. It doesn't look as 'pretty and fluffy' as a bassinett but it is the best purchase. We use the bassinett during the day in the living room or when I am up and walking around anyway. But for sleeping at night this is the BEST. Porta crib sheets fit right onto it too. It doenst come with music or anything but your newborn doenst need that for quite a few weeks. It has great storage underneath it aswell.Customer Review: Nothing more snugly for baby and mommy!

If you're a first time parent intent on attachment parenting like I was, you may think that this co-sleeper is the closest your baby will want to be to you. But it's not quite that simple. Our newborn insisted on sleeping in bed with us, and though I could reach over and to touch and comfort her while she was in the co-sleeper, she still knew when she wasn't in bed with us. Now she is two months old and is getting more comfortable with sleeping in the co-sleeper. At first, I thought it was a wasted investment, but now I realize that my baby just had to mature a little bit because even the mini sleeper (what we have) is still big for how tiny she was. The bed is covered with VERY soft material, which I like, and the mattress is easy to clean for those guaranteed midnight blowouts. I had a feeling when I saw this thing that it was going to come in handy. I had to convince my husband that it was worth the cash, even though it is not really multi-functional. I had originally thought I would have our daughter in our bed, but i realized fast that she is a noisy sleeper, she makes little baby noises and wiggles her arms. I would wake up every hour it seemed, and for no reason really. So I have to say the real reward is having your kiddo right next to you at night, without having them in your bed. I am able to wake up immediately and feed her then go right back to sleep without even leaving the bed! It is really nice. When she will sleep thought the night, I will begin the transition to her crib. We have also taken this to the babysitters house for overnight stay. It really worked great!
