Customer Review: Thought it would be good
Summary: 3 Stars

I received this as a gift and for the first 3 weeks this worked great. I could see my son and reach for him easily when breasfeeding in the middle of the night. But then his arms got too long and he started scratching the sides which woke him constantly.

The other complaints that I have are that the "mattress" is terribly hard, and the cover was awful. The gerber pack & play sheets fit it so I picked up some of those, but he still can tell the difference between our bed and the co-sleeper. Another complaint is that the mattress is about 4 inches shorter than our bed and I was hoping that the mattress would be level so I had to stick a bunch of things under the mattress so we could be level with me. Also, even though there's an attachment to keep it with the adult mattress, it still leaves a gap between the cosleeper and mattress which can be dangerous. And if you don't move your night stand be aware that you may knock your head that very hard corner.

Overall, I think I'd rather have had the regular cosleeper and not the mini, but I just don't think it's even worth it. For us it's a glorified baby stuff holder for me for middle of the night changes, etc.

Customer Review: 1st time mom loved this!

My husband and I loved having this product! My husband set it up before we came home from the hospital and had no problems putting it together. It was wonderful to have our new baby in the room with us. He slept in the co-sleeper exclusively for 3 1/2 to 4 months before we started the transition of sleeping in his crib for naps and eventually at night. Once he was sleeping in his crib at night, we left the co-sleeper up because my husband would bring him into our room to nurse and then lay him back down in the co-sleeper for the rest of the night. We were usually able to get a little extra sleep in the mornings because we could reach over and give him his pacifier so easily. <br /> Also, this proved to be a great portable product for us as well because we had to move when our son was only 6 weeks old. Keeping him in the same bed and in the room with us helped ease the transition for him. Now, he sleeps anywhere and everywhere without a problem. And finally, we just took the co-sleeper down and put it away to wait for our next baby because our 6 month old was almost too long for it. I am so glad we invested the money and bought this product!

Customer Review: Love this for breastfeding but......
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this after my agonizing for my first child born in February....it worked well for us and had her close without being in my bed ( not wanting to break that habit later of sleeping with us plus she was only 6 pounds at birth). I knew a bassinet would only last so long and was told to not waste my money by more experienced moms. This fit well in our room, washed well ( leakydiapers and spitup), secured to the bed and holds so much! I stored all of her bath things under the bed with blankets, onesies, and burp cloths. Diapers and wipes on the side with room left. Now that my daughter is in her crib at night I moved this downstairs to let her sleep in during the day. Just lifted it and took it downstairs! Only reason I did not give this 5 stars is I wished I had been thinking ahead and had gotten the original because I could have left it at Grandma's for her to use as a playpen once she outgrew the sleeper part. This does not convert to a play area so if this is a future consideration then get the original. Best for small spaces, travel to family and in hotels, and roomier and appears safer than bassinet. Will use again for next child! 4 1/2 stars

Customer Review: Difficult to adjust, without bells and whistles
Summary: 2 Stars

Hi, after reading tons of reviews I bought the AR cosleeper over the mini pack and play newborn to make sure our new baby boy would be comfy and close. Well, a blessing in disguise my husband broke it trying to put up the rail as the buttons are under fabric that cannot be pulled back so are very difficult to feel and intuit how they work. Ok maybe he was overzealous (read rough) but he's generally very patient and is great at assembly things. Having a baby will test that skill...
So tail between legs he promised he'd replace it next day. Instead he came back with The First Years bassinet to my tepid reception as I'd really wanted a cosleeper. Well, TFYs bassinet also attaches to the bed, it detaches from badjustable bed height base so you can bring baby to another room without waking, has music and ambient noise, nightlight, vibration option, and sits up if you like. I couldn't be happier which is why I'm writing reviews under cosleepers as I wish I'd known about this.
And it's prettier. Differences are you need to sit up to pick up baby, and it's a bit smaller so goes to 3 months instead of 4 but we plan on using crib then anyway.

Customer Review: One of our best purchases so far...
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought this because we loved the idea of having our baby be able to sleep next to us in bed without the dangers of being in the same bed. This co-sleeper allows me to see and rub him if I need to without getting out of bed. The bassinet just seemed akward next to the bed. The co-sleeper has a siderail that can be lowered so it almost feels like your baby is in bed with you but it's much safer. At first it was hard to put up/down and we thought it was broken but once you figure out how to work it it's easy. I think whether you buy the mini or regular size just depends on personal preference or room size. I purchased the mini because I didn't think we would have our baby in it for very long and the mini would be big enough to serve it's purpose but my son is 8 months old and although he doesn't sleep in it he still likes to sit in it next to our bed. The sheets are expensive ($14.99) but I bought the Koala cradle/bassinet sheets from Babies R Us for $6.99 each and they fit perfect! I'm so happy with this purchase and can't imagine what I would have done without it.
