Baby Products Reviews of Adiri BPA Free Natural Nurser Ultimate Bottle Stage 1 White, Slow Flow (0-3 months)

Customer Review: Poorly designed
Summary: 1 Stars

My sister purchased these bottles for my niece who I have been watching for a few months now. Initially they were the only bottles she would use going straight from having been breastfed for 3 months, but I found them to have huge design flaws. When I tip the bottle over to pour the milk in, it immediately starts flowing from the nipple, no matter how tight the cap is on. Also a few times I corked the bottle up to what I thought was as tight as it got, but when I put it right side up, the milk poured out from the bottom all over the counter. Also because of how large the nottle is around, they were too large to fit in a coffee cup of warm water to heat up, milk always has to be stored in a smaller more convient bottle with a cap anyways. For the price, they are NOT worth it.

Customer Review: not perfect, but best I've found; only bottle allowed for my DD
Summary: 5 Stars

My firstborn was never able to nurse successfully, so the "oh, it'll be fine" "there's no such thing as nipple confusion" "that's weird" advice/comments regarding our feeding choices for my exclusively-breastfed second child fell on angrily-deaf ears.
This bottle is not perfect, but it is the only one I will allow my DD to use (and she was only allowed a trial after 6 months). She didn't take to it at first (with my pumped breastmilk), but a few months later my husband tried again & she gobbled down the whole amount like a champ. Then as soon as I got home, she nursed just fine with no problems.
Putting milk into the bottle is not the easiest, but it's worth it for the peace of mind that we did everything we could to prevent breastfeeding difficulties!

Customer Review: Great bottle but my son wouldn't take it.
Summary: 3 Stars

I was using Avent bottles for my 6 month old son until I heard about the BPA leaching from them, so I purchased the Adiri. I love the idea of the Adiri bottle and think that if my son had gone directly from breast to this bottle he would have liked it but he's so used to the shape and texture of the Avent nipples that he wouldn't take this bottle at all. I think the nipple is actually too short for him.

Pros: only 3 pieces to have to keep track of and clean; soft, "breast-like" feel; won't break if dropped

Cons: a little awkward to get used to filling upside down (the cap has to be on nice and tight to prevent leaks); short nipple; you can't just buy another nipple if you need a different flow, you have to buy a whole new bottle

Customer Review: highly recommend
Summary: 4 Stars

I am breastfeeding but in the first week or two after having my son there was alot of frustration getting established. I had purchased this bottle after reading all the reviews of this bottle and many others. We had no problems switching back and forth with a little formula. The flow is similar to that of the breast which I learned once I started pumping; kind of like when a garden hose has a tiny leak. I would have given it 5 stars but my only complaints are that the ounce numbers on the bottle are hard to read and that the nipple tip though clean seems to get stained. Now I am able to breastfeed exclusively, but this is great to have when I want to sleep in on a Sunday and my husband can give our son a bottle. I will definitely be buying the stage 2 bottle.

Customer Review: Not worth the price
Summary: 3 Stars

The bottle is nice. I used it in the hope that it would help my 1 week old latch. The flow rate is optimal and it did help my baby a bit but could not get her to latch using this bottle, though I do believe it did help her. I had two complaints - one you had to close the lid to pour breastmilk and sometimes it would leak while filling or not closing the lid properly and second was the price. It is way too expensive to use as a regular bottle if you want to have 3-4 bottles. I never used it to warm milk inside as I always warmed in medela bottles, but I could see it as a problem as it is too thick. I liked the breastflow bottles by first year but they are not BPA free.
