Baby Products Reviews of Adiri BPA Free Natural Nurser Ultimate Bottle Stage 1 White, Slow Flow (0-3 months)

Customer Review: Still leaks, difficult instructions to give to a caregiver to use
Summary: 3 Stars

I found that my daughter sounds just like she is breastfeeding when taking milk from this bottle. I went on the adiri website to find out what I could do to prevent the leakage and found out several things.
1) They are out of business so there is no reason to get attached to the bottle even with its flaws when most likely the product will not be available much longer and you still need to replace every 3 months.
2) It is true, if you push the cap on further than you think it can go, it does prevent the nipple from leaking.

The bottom is very sensitive as well and can still leak if not put on properly. As all reviewers have noted, it is annoying to see the ounces labeled upside down.

It is also frustrating that you have to have a warming disk on to warm up the bottle. I don't feel like day care will always remember this step and will flood the milk with hot water.

I am still searching for the perfect bottle, however, I believe that the Playtex Natural Latch drop in system is much better than this one. I am not ready to write a review of that one yet until I experiment a little more.

My child took about 30 minutes to eat about 5 oz with this bottle.

Adiri Bottle Review

Leak, leak, leak, leak,... it will leak at the nipple, it will leak at the cover. I read good and bad reviews. I thought I give it a try because I liked the design. I regret trying. I bought 10 bottles. All 10 bottles leaked. I made absolutely sure it was dry and tightly covered. The bottle needs to be upside down to read how much milk is in it. When it's upside down it will leak at the nipple. When you turn it back over all the milk that leaked from the nipple will now be all over the bottle when you remove the cap. Then it will leak at the cover, which is on the bottom of the bottle. One leaked so bad it drained a whole 60 ml of milk while just sitting on my counter. If you don't mind dealing with a fussy bottle and a fussy baby at every feeding then get it. Not worth the price. Surprised it won an award. But, then it is a innovative design award. Functionally it sucks more than my baby. Remember I tried 10 bottles and they all leaked. You may be purchasing the 11th bottle if I would have replaced the ones I bought if I replaced it. But after going through 10 bottles and experiencing all 10 leaking why even bother getting replacements.

Customer Review: If you want a leaky bottle, this one is for you!!!!
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this thinking it would be a good transition from breast to bottle. The bottle looks cool and feels good and one would think it would make the baby feel right at home like it was nursing. However, it leaks, you can't heat it up in the bottle warmer, you have to boil to sterilize rather than using the bottle sterilizer, you have to invert the bottle to fill it and it leaks out the nipple and have I mentioned it leaks?

It was 6.99 plus shipping, we have used it twice, thinking we used it wrong the first time. It sits in the cabinet now gathering dust. The best bottles I swear by are the Gerber Nuk and Breastflow. Breastflow is the best transition from bottle to breast in my opinion, the nipple is very soft and warming. The Gerber Nuks my girl takes in ZERO air when she uses those. I still breastfeed and she transitions nicely between those two and me.

In short - save your money and buy something else unless you don't mind dealing with a leaky mess. If you want a cool looking bottle that isn't practical then buy this one. Sorry...I really tried to be objective.

Customer Review: Does the trick
Summary: 5 Stars

I sheepishly admit to buying the Adiri Bottle for its design value first, effectiveness second. That being said, it's the first bottle we've tried, so we don't have much to compare it to, but pleasantly, it works well for us. I like the top being more breast-like in look and feel (for a hesitant one-month old baby that initially gave it the stink eye, but warmed up to it after a few minutes), and whether the petals are good in terms of baby taking less air, I can't comment so much because our baby is a very efficient eater and doesn't burp much (via breast or bottle) or self-burps most of the time (believe it or not). Though, for the record, there's hasn't been an increase in burping of any kind with its use. It's true that the bottle doesn't fit a bottle warmer, but we often store our milk in the breast-pump bottles, which DO fit the warmer, or we warm up the Lansinoh milk storage bags in a pot of warm water before pouring into the Adiri Bottle. I plan on buying the next stages of this bottle and would absolutely recommend them (but of course each baby's experience of this product is different).

Customer Review: Doesn't warm easily
Summary: 3 Stars

This bottle looks neat and space agey, but unfortunately doesn't warm well. It does feel like a breast and looks like its great for mimicing the breast.
However, I could not find a way to warm formula or b. milk in it. I usually just plunk bottles into a cup of warm water and leave it for a couple of minutes to warm. Now I have to pay [....] to be able to warm bottles in a bottle warmer...? No thanks, I already paid $11 for the bottle.
I paid [...] for this bottle, read the instructions (which say do not submerge in water) and found I can't warm stuff in this bottle.
Now I see you can buy special warming caps to use in bottle warmers. I don't have a bottle warmer, I just use a cup of water. This is what my daycare uses also. I don't know how a bottle warmer warms milk, it may just heat up water and warm the milk that way, but until I can see some claim by the company that I can plunk the special bottle cap into a cup of warm water to warm it, I'm not interested in spending more money.
Also, where I got the bottle doesn't carry the special warmer caps either.
