To preface, I never take the time to write reviews, although I couldn't resist with this product after reading the several existing reviews. We transitioned our baby to and from breast feeding and bottle feeding with the Adiri bottle with no problems. The first feeding, which most people describe as difficult, was uneventful and smooth. She would take either the breast or bottle interchangeably. I did find that the bottle leaked for me also, as many people have commented, HOWEVER, once my husband showed me how to do it, I never had a problem with leaking again! The key was not to push the nipple too far down into the cover. In any event, once he showed me we no longer had an issue with leaking bottles. Maybe practice with water first to ensure your technique is leak-proof before you put milk in it the first couple of times. Also, the amount of time you will save on cleaning these is well worth any disadvantage you may find if you can't figure out how to stop it from "the leak" problem. It is simply two parts, nothing small, so thorough cleaning is possible. Being able to really clean the bottles was something important to me. And also, because it is such a simple design cleaning it was quick and meant we needed less bottles (saved money) because we could easily clean it in between uses. I did not use a dish washer, but chose to hand wash in order to avoid any potential breakdown from high-heat exposure.
We used both stage one and two, although by the time stage three rolled around, we transitioned our child to a cup. We plan to use these for our next baby as well.
