Yeah, it's a great idea....now if it just was made in order to fit your STANDARD bathtub faucet then it would be an incredible product, but alas, it is not...so it sucks. Sorry, that is the truth..don't buy it, you will regret it most likely.Customer Review: Great baby shower gift

We received this as a gift and were glad we did. We never would have bought it for ourselves, but were very impressed with how easy it was to set up and use. We've been giving it to first time parents as a shower gift. The only problem has been our older child liking the display so much she keeps turning the water back on to see the colors!Customer Review: Great concept poor construction

This is a great idea and would work great but it has some major flaws. It doesn't fit the faucet correctly and is constantly threatening to slip off. The battery life is horrible and it has started turning on unexpectedly. Its falling apart. There is a little black plastic spacer that holds onto the faucet and it just fell off. Also, the button is becoming impossible to press so its a struggle to make it turn on and off. I have only had this for a few months and there is much to be desired. Now I am just using it as a bump protecter but its so unstable it was a complete waste of money. As for temperature checks, we have a rubber ducky with "too hot" written on the bottom and I also just use my wrist since you really have to do that anyway since nothing is perfect and its better to double check than be sorry. We've fallen in love with this product, it makes life so much easier as my wife and I don't have to argue over if the water temperature is right for the bath (also makes it easier for the clueless dad to get it right on the first try) as well as when we have babysitters without kids of their own put him to bed we don't have to worry about him being too hot or too cold. As our son has gotten older, it's also helpful to have it beep at you when the water's too hot as there are 15 things to do to get ready for bath (while keeping him occupied) a great product!
(Some of our friends without babies have been excited about it as well just to be able to get their baths right!)

I bought this several months ago and am still using it. I really like the ease of setting the water temperature where I like it then being able to leave it while I get my daughter ready. However there are quality issues. It will slide off easily if even grazed, so we have to be careful when turning it on/off or using the shower. We also have to keep my daughter's hands from it, and of course she wants to touch it a lot! It is not easy to put back on either. Lately the on/off button has become very hard to depress which of course puts pressure on the unit. For the price I expected better.
Update: the little rubber piece that helps hold the unit on the faucet has completely detached and the on/off button barely works so this is now garbage. Would not recommend as it didn't even last a year. Couldn't get my star rating to change but would now only give one star!
