It does exactly what it says and works perfectly. While I think it is a product you can live with out (why I gave it 4 out of 5) I do think it is wonderful. My husband and I both agree that bath time is much easier. I also like that it covers the spout with a nice rubber casing .. makes me feel better now that my son is getting so active in the bath tub. My husband and I also used to ask each other what we thought of the temp before putting our son in it. Now it only takes one of us (& the Bath Spout) to know that the temp is just right.
I will also add that the first one I received did not work. It had an E2 reading on the screen (apparently an error message). I emailed them, they IMMEDIATELY replied and sent me a new one (NO cost to me). It was EXCELLENT customer service ... 5 STARS!!!

4MOMS is definitely on the right track. A great idea and a great invention - both a cushy spout cover and a temp sensor. When it worked, it worked well. Some design flaws caused the sensor to fluctuate without any rhyme or reason, plus it did not fit very well on our "standard" spout. BUT - they are a great company with amazing customer service. I know for a fact that the techs are working on fixing the flaws as we speak, and I am sure that soon a masterful product will emerge. When our first one failed, the company sent us a second one at no charge as well as a prepaid shipping slip to send the first unit back so they could investigate it. When the second one failed, they sent a refund. I highly recommend and have faith in 4MOMS, and may purchase this product again the future after some design revamping.Customer Review: Great concept. I fell in love with this bath spout when I first saw it. We received the 4moms bathtub and loved the built in thermometer on the bathtub and thought it would be the same. When I saw it on sale, I picked it up even before our baby was born.
Installation is quick and easy on standard faucets. It may seem loose but it was pretty sturdy. Our 60 lb dog even took his bath in our bathtub and didn't push it off with his tail or side brushing against it.
My problem is for the price, this thing died in just 5 months of use. The temp always says 100+ degrees even at the coolest temps. I am highly disappointed at it's life span.
Now I have to search for a readable thermometer for our baby's bath.

As a second time mom, I was not sure I needed this, but a friend gave it to me, and now I wonder how I gave baths without it! I thought I was running the perfect water temperature, but lo and behold, the water was too hot for my little ones! My oldest child (4 and 1/2) is learning how to adjust the water temperature and knows when to move out of the way if the temp. fluctuates (which it so often does in my house). I feel so much safer knowing that the water is the correct temperature, and it makes giving a bath so much easier! I get the water started, then I can undress the kids and get them in the bath knowing that when they get in the temperature is good and not suddenly too hot or cold. How did I ever live without this?Customer Review: Great Idea - Poor execution

I was simply looking for a protective cover for the bath spout so the kids would not hurt themselves. But when I saw this, I thought it was a great idea.
Once installed, the first one perfectly worked for about a week before the readout simply began to only display that hot water was coming out, even if only cold water was flowing. I returned it and Amazon quickly shipped me another.
The second one only lasted a few days, somehow water leaked into the display readout and it stopped showing a legible readout.
It's too bad. This product is a great idea, and when it did work we were very pleased. They need to work on the manufacturing quality control a bit more before I can recommend it.
