Customer Review: Great idea, we love it (...but not perfect)
Summary: 4 Stars

I had two of these cups that have gotten lost recently and I really miss them! I have been giving my 13 month old snacks in a regular cup in the car lately and he spills most of them, but with the snack trap, he was more focused on eating and less on dumping. Yes he can remove the top sometimes when he's done, and yes my car is a mess most of the time (whose isn't?...That's what young children do!), but it works better than anything out there. Maybe a design improvement would be to have a screw-on top. Smaller items (e.g. Cheerios, Goldfish crackers) can be shaken out more easily so I usually stick to foods about the size of a Cheez-it or larger. My 3 year old usually takes the top off to eat out of his but he is also less likely to throw food in the car. I highly recommend these to anybody with young children. I know someone says their top easily came off so I wonder if putting into the dishwasher on the water heat cycle would shrink the top down a little to make a tighter fit.

Customer Review: Best way I've found to give a toddler dry snack foods......
Summary: 5 Stars

These things are great. We were given our first Snack Trap as a shower gift, then we bought this 3-pack when our daughter was about 10 months old. It had taken her less than a minute to work out how to get at the fruit and veggie 'puff' snacks we put inside. We needed more traps as we don't always run the dishwasher every day etc.

Unless she shakes it about whilst holding onto the top/rim, rarely does anything ever fall out. This no-spill feature is the best. I think the Snack Trap also helps prevent a toddler from stuffing their mouth with too much food at once and choking, as the soft plastic 'flaps' gently rake back any loose snack pieces into the cup. The handles also make it easy to attach to a highchair or stroller with plastic links.

My mother, a UK professional childcare provider with over 40 years of experience, was really impressed with them. It was the only functional item she bought for use at her own home-based day-care business.

Customer Review: Messy cup
Summary: 2 Stars

I saw 5 moms go wild for this cup in the baby feeding section of a store. The moms claimed it was the best invention ever and a worker said she can't keep them in stock. I looked at this thing and thought my 9 month old would get his hand stuck in the plastic that was cut into wedges that are for keeping in the snack. I saw several moms pick up 2 at a time so I decided to get one. Later that day I filled up the cup with cheerios and my son had grasped the cup by the lip, holding down the plastic wedges and began to dump out his snack. I thought this was just a one time accident and gave it to him several days later. He played with the plastic wedges pushing them down, then held the cup again by the lip holding the plastic wedges down and turned the cup up side down shaking his cheerios out all over the floor. That day it ended up in the bathtub without the plastic cover and he taught himself how to drink using this cup with handles.

Customer Review: Lousy service or actually no service at all!
Summary: 4 Stars

After we use the snack trap a few times, I noticed dirt can go into it and the food is not kept fresh because there is an opening on the lid. I tried ordering a cover lid for these, but their website was not processing my credit card. I called AND emailed the company more than once and no one responded back to me. What kind of business are they in when they only listen to their voice mails once a week? And what is the point of a "snack trap" when it doesn't really trap the food in? And it doesn't keep the food fresh but make them stale. I don't like to just throw the snack trap containers into the diaper bag without putting a plastic over it. Anyway, have changed over to the Munchkin brand. They are cleaner and BPA Free. At least, someone from that company answers their phone like within 2 rings. Anyway, we tossed these out and I gave my family and friends the Munchkin brand.

Customer Review: We love it!

This is not a mess free snack solution. As the other reviewers stated, the lid can be removed, and if you hold it upside down & shake repeatedly, crumbs will come out & some smaller snacks can also come out.

BUT, before this product was invented, what was the alternative? A bowl? My 1 year old dumps those over within seconds. The snack trap works great in our house. My daughter loves to be "independant" so holding her own snack cup is great for her. I don't fill up completely - just enough for that particular snacktime. I usually carry some extra snacks in the diaper bag to refill for her.

I also really love the stay fresh lids. They work great in the diaper bag to make sure that the snacks stay "good" and don't go stale to quickly.
